Yet another update on my ink
Session 9 complete. I asked Marcus how the red was going to tie from my shoulder piece to the girl and this was the start of his vision. He is a true artist and is doing an amazing job. I would recommend him to anyone, Marcus @ 'A Way Of Life Tattoo' in SLC, UT. Perhaps another update in 2 weeks! |

As some may or may not have noticed there is now a Countdown on the side of the page. Who can guess what it is counting down to? Here's a hint: it is to something that has been quite absent in my life for the last 4 years or so. |

So here's an update on how the ink is going.
I think this was taken after session #8 but it's hard to keep track anymore. It has more to go to fully tie into the arm piece, then finish the girl, then add in some red. This piece is from an artist I learned about last year. I have an enormous poster of her in our living room and hope some day to be able to buy an actual reproduction painting of her. It really speaks to me of how life flows and that beauty can be found in the strangest of places.
I have no idea when we will be "done" but if we ever reach that stage I'll post lots of final pictures. |

Em got her very first rifle for her birthday this year, a Smith & Wesson M&P15T. We took it up to Wy this weekend and shot it for the very first time. Firing standard .223 target loads at 100 yards the rifle was dead on accurate right out of the box. The rifle itself is quite lightweight but the kick was almost non existent compared to a military issue M16. Hopefully this weekend we'll have a chance to buy some accessories for it (sling/holosight/vert-handle) and take some pictures to share. Until then, happy shooting folks! |
